I can see how beneficial Google docs could be in the classroom. It would be nice if students could upload their assignments (if they have computer access)into Google docs and their teachers could make comments or corrections. Much faster feedback and less tiring than regular e-mailing. I think this would also be a great tool for collaboration between teachers.
